Saint Joseph Health System will honor military veterans with special Veterans Day programs in Plymouth and Mishawaka on Wednesday, November 11.
The events, hosted by Saint Joseph Plymouth Medical Center and Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center, will recognize the service and sacrifice of United States military veterans.
This year’s programs will feature the Michigan Avian Experience, an educational wildlife presentation that includes a live bald eagle. The eagle, a national symbol of strength and freedom, will serve as a reminder of the courage and dedication of those who have served.
The Mishawaka program will begin at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center, 5215 Holy Cross Parkway.
The Plymouth program will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Saint Joseph Medical Office Building, 1919 Lake Avenue, in the second-floor Plymouth Education Center.
According to Saint Joseph Health System, the programs provide an opportunity for community members, patients and staff to reflect on the significance of Veterans Day and express their appreciation for those who have served.
Both events are open to the public.
