NBC LA News Helicopter Crashes In Chatsworth, California

NBC4 and Telemundo 52 are mourning after a news helicopter providing aerial coverage crashed Tuesday evening in Chatsworth, killing the two crew members aboard and a person on the ground. While this happened far outside the Michiana area we normally cover, we wanted to recognize those who lost their lives while working to bring information to their community.

NBC LA News Helicopter Crashes In Chatsworth, California

The journalism community is mourning following a deadly news helicopter crash in Los Angeles Tuesday night.

NBC4 and Telemundo 52 aerial reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw were killed when NewsChopper4 crashed while covering another breaking news scene in Chatsworth. A person on the ground was also killed.

Our condolences are with their families, colleagues and everyone affected by this tragedy.
