On September 12th, 2026 at 1:08am Plymouth Officer R. Ayala made a traffic stop on a vehicle at U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 for a moving violation.

A DUI investigation began on the driver, fifty-two year old Terry J. Cooley of Rochester.

Cooley was later transported to the hospital for a chemical test and later to Marshall County Jail where he was booked and lodged for:

  • Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated

  • Possession of Methamphetamine

  • Possession of Marijuana

  • Possession of Paraphernalia

Cooley was given a bond of $1500.00 and a court date.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
