A traffic stop in Plymouth on Friday night, October 23, led to the arrest of a 34-year-old man who police say had an outstanding federal warrant.

According to Plymouth Police, an officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Michigan and Washington streets around 9 p.m. after noticing two children standing in the backseat while the vehicle was moving.

The driver was identified as Roger Aviliez-Martinez, 34, of Plymouth.

During the stop, police determined that Aviliez-Martinez had never been issued a driver’s license and had an outstanding federal warrant for his arrest.

Aviliez-Martinez was taken into custody and transported to jail.

The release did not provide details about the federal warrant or specify whether any additional charges or citations were issued in connection with the traffic stop.
