According to the Plymouth Police Department, Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call at 2:46 a.m. on September 17 from the owner of King Gyros on North Michigan Street. Police said the owner reported having video footage showing a truck stealing used cooking oil from the business before leaving the area.
Police said the truck returned at approximately 3:37 a.m., and officers were dispatched to the area.
Officers located the truck and identified two men as 26-year-old Eliodanys C. Plutin of Indianapolis and 38-year-old Omar P. Cutino of Louisville, Kentucky.
Both were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail. Police said they were booked on charges of theft, a Class A misdemeanor, and organized theft, a Level 6 felony.
Plymouth Police are encouraging business owners who may have information or video footage involving the theft of oil from their businesses to contact Officer R. Ayala or Detective D. Workman.
