A 19-year-old Plymouth man was arrested October 30 following a reported domestic disturbance at the Plymouth City Webster Center.
According to Plymouth Police, officers were dispatched to the Webster Center around 8:11 p.m. after a woman reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her.
The woman told dispatchers that her boyfriend, identified as Jose Martinez-Santos, had pulled her by the hair back toward a vehicle. She said she was then able to lock herself inside the vehicle to prevent him from reaching her.
When officers arrived, they found Martinez-Santos outside the passenger side of the vehicle attempting to speak with the woman.
Police detained Martinez-Santos and said he acknowledged grabbing his girlfriend by the hair and pulling her toward the vehicle during their investigation.
Martinez-Santos was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on a domestic battery allegation.
