A Plymouth man was arrested Tuesday evening after police say he was clocked riding a motorcycle at 132 mph in a posted 45 mph construction zone on U.S. 30.

According to the Plymouth Police Department, an officer was traveling westbound on U.S. 30, just west of the railroad tracks, around 7:05 p.m. on October 13 when he spotted a black motorcycle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed and making aggressive lane changes.

Police identified the rider as Skyler Cutter, 24, of Plymouth.

The officer activated his emergency lights and siren, and the motorcycle stopped just east of the railroad tracks, west of Oak Drive.

Cutter was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on a reckless driving charge.

According to police, Cutter was given a court date and bond, although those details were not included in the release.

The Plymouth Police Department reminds motorists to obey posted speed limits, especially in construction zones, and to drive safely.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
