UPDATE 8/28/2026: Per the Marshall County EMA, all available radios for this giveaway have been claimed. They added additional opportunities to get a weather radio will be posted in the future.
Marshall County EMA will present a severe weather safety talk, and everyone who attends the presentation and meets the eligibility requirements will receive a free weather radio.
To qualify, participants must:
Live in Marshall County
Be age 50 or older
Register in advance, with attendance limited to 60 people
Registration can be completed by emailing Marshall County EMA at [email protected] with your name, age and address so eligibility can be verified under the grant agreement with AARP. Those without email can message Marshall County EMA on Facebook.
Additional opportunities to receive a weather radio are planned this fall, including at the Senior Expo.
The giveaway is funded through an AARP Community Challenge grant awarded to Marshall County EMA.
