The Marshall County Humane Society is giving residents a special way to remember their beloved pets who are no longer with them.
In honor of the Day of the Dead, the Humane Society has created an ofrenda decorated with colorful flowers, candles and photographs of pets who have passed away.
Staff members have already added photos of their own pets, along with shelter animals who have died.
The Humane Society is inviting anyone who would like to participate to bring a photograph of a pet they have lost to hang on the display.
The memorial will remain up through November 7, giving residents an opportunity to honor the pets who will always hold a special place in their hearts.
