The Argos Community Development Corporation is inviting residents to start their Thanksgiving morning with a little exercise while helping support the Argos Food Pantry.
The organization’s annual Turkey Trot & Gobble Wobble 5K Fun Run and Walk is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Argos Community Park.
Participants can run, walk or wobble their way through the 5K, with everyone welcome to take part.
Instead of a traditional registration fee, organizers are asking participants to bring at least one nonperishable food item. All donated items will benefit the Argos Food Pantry.
The event will begin at the park’s West Pavilion, located at 560 W. Walnut St. in Argos.
Organizers say the event will take place rain or shine, so participants should dress accordingly.
The Thanksgiving morning event offers residents an opportunity to get moving, spend time with others and give back to the community before the holiday festivities begin.
