Plymouth Police arrested a 26-year-old Plymouth man early Saturday morning following two 911 hang-up calls at River Park Square.
According to Plymouth Police Department, officers were dispatched to River Park Square at approximately 4:28 a.m. on September 19.
Police said dispatch attempted to call the number back but received no answer. Dispatch was later able to make contact through text messages.
According to police, Travis Lee Doty made statements about harming himself and threatening officers if they responded to the park. Police said Doty also indicated he was drinking at the park and later told dispatch the calls were a joke while inviting officers to the park for an altercation.
Officers responded and located Doty at the park.
Police said officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage while speaking with him and also located a THC vape pen. According to the release, Doty submitted to a preliminary breath test that showed a result of .084%.
Doty was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged on allegations of public intoxication and possession of marijuana.
